Introducing the Miyano BNA-42MSY

Citizen Machinery Miyano is pleased to introduce the newest jointly developed Miyano - the ultra efficient BNA-42MSY.  This innovative machine maintains all of the characteristic rigidity and quality you've come to expect from Miyano, with new state-of-the-art control technology provided by Marubeni Citizen-Cincom.  The 42 mm capacity Miyano BNA-42MSY features subspindle and 8 station turret, with all positions capable of live performance.  A wide variety of tooling is available for the turret, making it possible to mount as many as 4 live tools in one turret position.  This machine is the true embodiment of the term versatility.  Marubeni Citizen-Cincom's specialized control technology provides the unique capability of superimposing the subspindle to the turret, allowing for simultaneous machining with the main and subspindle.  The single turret essentially functions the same as two twin turrets, only without the increased pricing.  The Cincom powered Mitsubishi control greatly reduces non-cut times while at the same time providing much simpler ease of use for machine operators and programmers.

The Past Still Rings True

As Warner & Swasey once asked in its timeless ad campaign that lasted from 1941 until 1975, "What has really changed?".  The answer to this question today is a definitive "not much".  Its amazing how Swasey's old advertisements still resonate as true so many years after View Warner & Swasey Adtheir initial publication.  We at Concentric, feel the world once again should view these great ads that highlight the fact that its our own hardwork and ingenuity, not federal aid and government assistance, that leads to true economic success for ourselves as individuals and for America.  We will begin periodically uploading these excellent Warner & Swasey advertisements to our Concentric Facebook and Twitter accounts.  Please be sure to follow our social media pages to see these amazing ads.

The Wait is Over!

We are extremely pleased to introduce the new "Next Big Thing" in the Swiss machining community - the Citizen M32VII and M32VIII.  Updated with a new and improved Mitsubishi control, processing speeds and efficiency have increased significantly from previous M-Cincom M32series iterations.  Both versions of the new "M" feature 32 mm capability, subspindle and 10-station turret with live capability.  New to the machines, are an additional Y-axis on the secondary tool block which offers significantly more tooling configurations.  Further, the Citizen M32VIII includes a 3-position tool block with B-axis functionality off of the gang tool slide to allow for angular machining.  Please see M32 brochure for additional information on this true technological marvel.

Taking it to the Hoopaugh

We are proud to announce that Michael Hoopaugh has joined Concentric in the role of service/applications engineer. Michael adds significant medical expertise and general know-how to the Concentric team. California, born and raised, on the shop floor is literally where he spent most his days. PMTS in Columbus is Fast Approaching…

PMTS LogoOne of our favorite machine tool shows to participate in is the Precision Machining Technology Show (PMTS) held in Columbus, OH, every 2 years. The show will take place at the Greater Columbus Convention Center from April 19-21.  Concentric will be staffing the booth for the duration of the show.  This is a great opportunity to check out the latest technology that both Citizen and Miyano have to offer.  We will be able to answer any questions you may have on how this state-of-the-art precision machinery can significantly improve your throughput.  We will update you on what machines to expect at the show. The Evolution Continues....

Citizen K16ECitizen is proud to announce its newest machine in the "Evolution" series - the K16E. With the new Mitsubishi Meldas 70LPC control, the K16E is able to substantially improve on non-cut times (up to 40+%!) when compared to the previous generation of K machines. The K16E, with 16mm bar capacity, maintains its renowned main spindle speed of 15,000 RPM, but adds even more capability to the original concept. The machine now comes standard with 6 live tools (2 backworking) while previous generations only included 4 live spindles. Furthermore, Citizen incorporated its famed modularity concept popular in our L-series to allow the user even more versatility. You can now remove live spindles, and implement many different varieties of tooling blocks (face and back-drilling, slitting). This allows for even more tooling possibilities. If producing high precision parts as quickly, and cost effectively as possible is your game, the K16E is the machine for you!

Thank You!

Admittedly, having gone through the tough recession these past couple years, we at Concentric weren't sure what to expect at IMTS. We didn't know if attendance would be down. We didn't know if negativity would pervade from the economic malaise. We just didn't know. And then that first Monday arrived. As we stood their with our shoes freshly shined, waiting for our visitors to arrive, little could we guess that we wouldn't have a chance to sit down for the remainder of the day. Actually that may be an underestimation. Little could we guess, that we wouldn't be able to sit down for the remainder of the show. Our Citizen/Miyano booth was busy from first day to last. Thank you to each of you that took time out from your busy work schedules and lives to come up to Chicago for IMTS and took the time to stop by our booth - we greatly appreciate it. We greatly appreciate your enthusiasm for the metalworking industry and our products. Conversations were dominated by stories of how busy shops had become, bringing back employees who had been previously laid off, and the need for new equipment to ensure continued success. It was a refreshing week for all of us. We've come back with a renewed sense of purpose and enthusiasm to achieve our goal - to make you a globally preeminent manufacturer - and that's a tribute to all of our visitors who made this show easily one of the most memorable. Cheers.
